$32 Across loses about $23 per hour on average at a $5 table (100 rolls, $5 on 4, 5, 9, 10 + $6 on 6, 8). You finish ahead in 43% of hours, and it ranks #8 of 11 popular strategies for lowest cost.

Place every point number: $5 on 4, 5, 9, 10 and $6 on 6 and 8. We ran it through 200,000 simulated hour-long sessions (100 rolls each, $5 table, real casino payouts) to see what actually happens.

How the $32 Across works

"$32 across" is dealer shorthand for placing all six numbers at a $5 table: $5 on the 4, 5, 9 and 10, and $6 on the 6 and 8 (so the 7:6 payout comes out even). Any number that rolls pays you, and only a 7 takes everything down.

The 6 and 8 are cheap (1.52% edge), but the 5 and 9 cost 4% and the 4 and 10 cost 6.67%. That's why many players "go across" but buy the 4 and 10 at higher limits.

How we tested it

Each session is 100 rolls (about an hour at a busy table) starting on a new shooter, using standard Vegas rules: 3-4-5x odds, casino payouts rounded down, place bets off on the come-out, and a $5,000 table max. At the end of the hour we stop betting, take down removable bets and let contract bets finish. "Down $500" counts any point in the hour where the session was $500 behind. Dice come from a cryptographic random generator. Results are practice estimates, not predictions.
