Once a point is set, bet $15 on the Field and place the 5 ($15), 6 ($18) and 8 ($18), for $66 total. The Field covers 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11 and 12, and your Place bets cover 5, 6 and 8. Every number except 7 is a winner.
That feels unbeatable, but a 7 wipes out all four bets at once, and you're paying the field's 2.78% edge on every single roll plus 4% on the 5. Winning almost every roll isn't the same as winning money.
